The Art of Inclusiveness : Path to Ultimate Happiness

Normally we think we are separate from everybody and everything. We think we are a separate identity, a separate human being with a separate body, different mindset, unique behavior patterns, attitude, habits and so on. Also we feel that we humans are far superior than other species on this earth. We think that earth is made for us and we have more power to control everything on this planet. But all these things are false. It is only our narrow mindedness that leads to these kinds of thoughts.

God or our creator or the energy which did the creation or whoever created this world and didn’t give any special power to us. That is the truth. For him everything is the same. He might have given the same attention to an amoeba or virus or lion or elephant too. In his point of view all creatures are the same and with the same importance because all are his children.

Before the big bang entire universe was so small in size and it was just the size of a grape ! Can you believe it ? So we all are coming from that grape. But now we are separated with sex, age, cast, religion, politics, race, continent, countries, districts and so on. So much partition all made by us only. We also think that we humans are superior and other animals, trees, insects etc are our slaves.

But the fact is that in evolutionary history we came very late. Many small creatures appeared here millions of years ago compared to humans. So nature doesn’t give us any special status as we think. Since we are in the last chain of evolution our brains developed more compared to others. That is the only difference. So we really don’t have anything to celebrate in that way and the recent coronavirus covid-19 outbreak shows the same thing that we are not superior to anybody. All are the same in nature’s point of view.

So what should we do ? We should learn the art of inclusiveness. Start to realize and accept that everything seeing in this universe is part of me too. From ancient times Indian mystics and yogis followed this and that helped them to live a peaceful life. Now you think you are sitting only in your body and the person next to you is another thing. But in fact the energy powering you and him are the same. Your body and his body also came from earth. Actually all the people in this world are powered with the same energy and all of our energies are interconnected too. Same energy is powering all animals, insects, plants and everything else in this world. In ancient Indian text that energy is called Brahman.

When you realize that there is no separation between you and your enemy then enmity will slowly vanish. When you feel that there is no difference between you and the person sitting in your enemy country then you start feeling like he is also your brother. When you realize that a person from another race or religion or cast or political party is also powered with the same energy, you will slowly start accepting him. We normally consider our family members to be part of us. The same case with all the 7.8 billion people on earth. Not only them, all animals, plants, trees, insects etc. So understand this truth. You are not separate. You cannot live without other species.

In Indian mystic texts many quotes for such things like “loka samastha sukhino bhavanthu” means  Let the entire world be happy or “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” means the world is one family etc. So start accepting the fact that the entire universe is one and you are part of it. No person or animal or insect is separate from you. Then how can somebody become an enemy to you. No jealousy, no anger, no hatred because they all are part of you.

If you practice this inclusiveness slowly your mind will become calm and quiet. Your thoughts will gradually come down. Most of your unhappiness are due to the overthinking and negative emotions. When these negativity in mind subside you will start to enjoy ultimate happiness and peace. Our real nature is perfect happiness, but because of all these negative emotions like hatred, anger, jealousy we lost our real nature of pure happiness. Slowly you will understand that life is so simple and beautiful. So start practicing inclusiveness and enjoy this beautiful life.
