Reserve A set of cards are dealt to a specific position in the layout at the start of the game to form the reserve. No building on the reserve is allowed. Generally the topmost card of the reserve is available for play. In some games, card from any position of the reserve can be taken out for playing. Reserve is otherwise called 'Cells' in games like Freecell. Cards from the tableau can be placed in these cells also.
