Base Card First Card dealt to the foundation is the base card. Any card turned up to form a foundation can become a base card. When a base card is used, the cards can be arranged in a continuous order which means an Ace can be placed on a King and vice versa. For Example, if a Queen A foundation can use the same rank cards from different suits as base cards or it can use different rank cards from different suits or same suit as base cards.
