At the time of installation installer creates a start menu program folder with program link, uninstaller and help file links.

Later you can create a desktop shortcut or Quick Launch icon for the particular solitaire game.

To create a desktop shortcut first go to the installed folder. (for eg c:\program files\My Freecell 6.0 for My Freecell)

Now right click on the main exe file (for my freecell it is MyFreecell.exe). On the right click menu there is a Send To folder. Under the Send To there is a link called Desktop (create shortcut). Click on that and it will create a shortcut for the game on the Desktop.

Always create a shortcut like this if you want a game icon on the desktop. Don't copy the exe file to desktop. The exe file should reside in the particular installed directory because the location of the file is important for the game setup.

So if you move the file manually then it may affect the game setup and after that game may not work properly. So it is safe to create a shortcut instead of copying the file.

If you want you can drag this newly created shortcut to Quick launch section of the Taskbar.
