Freecell Solitaire
Freecell is one of the most popular solitaire games available today. It gained popularity mainly after Microsoft included it with Windows operating system.
Freecell is actually derived from it's ancestor Eight Off. This game is with 8 reserve cells, 8 tableau columns and four foundation cells. 8 reserve sells acts like a storgare place to store cards. Initially 4 out of 8 reserve cells are filled with cards.
Eight Off Rules
In 60's Mr. C. L. Baker described a game similar to Freecell and it is now called Baker's Game. This game contains four reseve sells instead of 8 in eight off. The major difference between eight off and freecell is in eight off tableau cards are arranged in down suit while in freecell it is down alternating color.

Later Mr Paul Alfille chaged the talbeau card arranging order to down alternating color and created the game Freecell.
